Biography of Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant was born in the Indian city of Roorkee, Uttarakhand, to Rajendra and Saroj Pant. Pant used to go to Delhi with his mother on weekends to train with Tarak Sinha at the Sonnet Cricket Academy when he was 12 years old.
Because they could not find adequate housing in the city, he and his mother remained at a Gurdwara in Moti Bagh.
Pant was recommended by Sinha to play U-13 and U-15 cricket in Rajasthan, but he declined. Pant’s tutor advised him to alter his entire batting technique in order to improve his batsmanship.
When he was playing U-19 cricket for Delhi against Assam, he had a watershed moment. Pant had top-scored in the first innings with 35 runs and then blasted 150 in the second innings, which he considers to be his most meaningful knock.
