Jayasurya was born in Tripunithura, Kochi, Kerala, on August 31, 1978, to Mani Achary (a Tamil jeweller) and Thankam Ammal (a housewife).
He received his primary education at Chambakkara’s St. George U. P. School and Tripunithura’s Government Sanskrit High School.
At All Saints College in Ernakulam, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He joined impersonation troupes such as Crown of Cochin and Kottayam Nazir’s Cochin Discovery after finishing his education.
