In the year 1980, Arya was born in Trikaripur, Kerala. He attended SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School in Chennai and subsequently Crescent Engineering College in Vandalur, Chennai, where he earned an engineering degree. Sathya, his younger brother, has also acted in Tamil films.
