Biography of Siddharth
Siddharth was born on April 17, 1979, in Madras (now Chennai), India, to a Tamil-speaking family.
He began his studies at Madras’ D.A.V. Boys Senior Secondary School and afterwards attended Delhi’s Sardar Patel Vidyalaya.
He went on to Kirori Mal College in New Delhi, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree.
During college, Siddharth was active in extracurricular activities, serving as president of the college’s debating group and competing in the World Debating Championships.
He went on to receive his MBA from Mumbai’s S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, as well as winning a speaking skills competition that earned him the CNBC Manager of the Year title in 1999.
Stepping stone into Siddharth Net Worth (Career)
He apprenticed with ad film-maker Jayendra and cinematographer P. C. Sreeram after finishing his education, and they both helped him get a job as an assistant director for Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal.
He worked on the film for the entire year 2001, and he also made an uncredited appearance as a bus passenger.
Sujatha, the film’s scriptwriter, insisted on Siddharth auditioning for Shankar’s ongoing movie Boys (2003), in which the director intended to hire new performers.
Siddharth visited Shankar for an audition after consulting with Mani Ratnam and was signed the next day to play the lead part of Munna.
Siddharth worked on the film with fellow debutants Genelia D’Souza, Bharath, Nakul, Thaman, and Manikandan in 2002, despite sustaining an injury that required him to be hospitalized for three days.

Siddharth then made his Telugu debut in Prabhu Deva’s first directorial effort, the love drama Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005), in which he was paired with Trisha once more.
To differentiate the part of NRI kid Santhosh from other NRI depictions in Indian films, Siddharth claimed that he tried hard to portray his character as “hyperactive, and unpredictable, to the extent where the audience does not know what to anticipate from him.”
He was also adamant about doing his own dubbing and learning Telugu throughout the film’s production.
Siddharth’s next film, directed by Bhaskar, was the Telugu family drama Bommarillu (2006). The film depicted a father-son relationship in which the father’s overprotectiveness of his son and intervention in his life causes the latter to harbour resentment toward his overbearing father.
For the second time, Siddharth was cast opposite Genelia, and Bhaskar claimed that he chose him because of his body language similarities with the character.
During the production, the director applauded Siddharth’s versatility and commitment to the part, saying he was “mesmerized” when he saw him execute a scene that lasted about four minutes without a cut.
Siddharth has also appeared in a number of adverts. Due to his pan-Indian appeal, Parle Agro hired him as a national brand ambassador in 2012, owing to his active involvement in both the Hindi and South Indian film industries.
Siddharth married Meghna in November 2003, after the two met while growing up in the same New Delhi neighbourhood. However, by early 2006, the couple was living apart, and in January 2007, they divorced.
