Jadeja was born on December 6, 1988, in Navagam Ghed, Jamnagar district, Gujarat, to a Gujarati Rajput family. Anirudh’s father worked as a security guard for a private security firm.

His father wanted him to be an Army officer, but he preferred cricket, and he was terrified of his father as a boy.

In 2005, his mother Lata died in an accident, and the trauma of his mother’s death nearly drove him to retire from cricket. Naina, his sister, works as a nurse. Jamnagar is his home.
