Nithiin began his acting career in 2002 with Teja’s film Jayam. On two occasions, director Teja saw him at a screening of his film Nuvvu Nenu at Sudarshan 35 mm theatre.
Teja then enquired about his acting interest and conducted a screen test and photo session before casting him as the lead in his directorial and production venture Jayam, which also stars Sadha and Gopichand.
