Early life and family
N. T. Rama Rao, a Telugu actor and three-time Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and his wife Basavatarakam gave birth to Balakrishna on June 10, 1960, in Madras (modern-day Chennai, Tamil Nadu).
