Early life
Pollard was born in Tacarigua, Trinidad and Tobago, and was reared by his single mother in a destitute home with two younger sisters.
He was selected for the West Indies Under-19 cricket squad to tour Pakistan after representing Trinidad and Tobago in the 2005 TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge.
