Shikhar Dhawan is a Jat who was born on December 5, 1985, in Delhi, India, to Sunaina and Mahendra Pal Dhawan. He finished his education at Meera Bagh’s St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School.
He has been training at Sonnet Club since he was 12 years old, under the direction of coach Tarak Sinha, who has trained 12 international cricketers. When Dhawan originally joined the club, he was a wicketkeeper.
