Life and education
Tshering Phintso Denzongpa was born to a Buddhist family in Yuksom, Sikkim, and received his education at Birla Vidya Mandir in Nainital before enrolling at St Joseph’s College in Darjeeling in 1964.
Denzongpa’s passion for horses and horseback riding originated at a young age, thanks to his family’s involvement in horse breeding. He is also a sculptor, a painter, and a writer.
