Nandini, his younger sister, is married to a computer engineer. Yash wanted to be an actor since he was a child, and he competed in theatre and dance events at his Mysore school.

They relented in 2003 and permitted him to move to Bangalore at the age of 16 to work as an assistant director on a film, but he was told he would not be allowed to return if he did.
Despite the fact that the project was cancelled after only two days of filming, Yash chose to return to Bangalore. He indicated that he had ₹300 on him at the time (equal to ₹940 or $12 in 2020).
He became a member of the Benaka theatrical troupe, founded by dramatist B. V. Karanth. He worked as a backstage worker, earning ₹50 (66¢ US) each day.

Primary source of Yash Net worth (Acting)
Yash made his acting debut in Priya Hassan’s Jambada Hudugi in 2007, playing a man whose infertile wife is unable to conceive and seeks uterine transplantation.

After Shashank’s first option for the role injured their leg and required six months of recovery, he was cast as a last-minute replacement.
Shashank then saw Yash in a Preeti Illada Mele episode and was pleased by his performance. For Preeti Illada Mele, Yash had a beard, but Shashank reached out to him and persuaded him to shave clean for the role.
Despite its narrative, Rediff.com’s R.G. Vijayasarathy thought the film to be enjoyable, praising Yash’s performance among the male cast.
