Sushanth was born and raised in the city of Hyderabad. Anumolu Sathya Bhushana Rao and Naga Susheela Akkineni are his parents.
He attended Hyderabad Public School and Gautami Junior College for his primary and secondary education.
Sushanth graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a bachelor’s degree in ECE (Electronics and Computer Engineering).
He worked as an electrical engineer for United Technologies and Schlumberger before returning to India to pursue his passion for performing.
