Early life and family
Konidela Kalyan Babu was born in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, on September 2, 1968, to Konidela Venkata Rao and Anjana Devi.

Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu are his younger brothers. After organizing a martial arts show to demonstrate his training, he began using the name “Pawan.”

Nandini launched a bigamy action against Kalyan in June 2007, alleging that he remarried without divorcing her.
Kalyan answered by claiming that he had not married Desai and that he had been absolved of the charge owing to a lack of evidence by a magistrate court in Visakhapatnam.
In July 2007, Kalyan filed for divorce in Visakhapatnam’s family court, claiming that Nandini deserted him shortly after their marriage, which her counsel rejected.
Their divorce was finalized in August 2008, with Kalyan paying a one-time alimony payment of 5 crores.
