Early life
Kirk Alyn was born on October 8, 1910, in Oxford, New Jersey, to Hungarian immigrant parents as John Feggo Jr. He grew up in the town of Wharton, New Jersey.
A plaque commemorating his life in the borough hangs in the municipal building, which also serves as the only center of attraction in the small town.
