Early and personal life
Karun was born in the Rajasthani city of Jodhpur on December 6, 1991. His parents, Kaladharan and Prema Nair are from Chengannur in Kerala’s Alappuzha district.

Kaladharan, a mechanical engineer, was stationed in Jodhpur at the time of his son’s birth and afterwards moved to Koramangala, Bangalore, with his family, where he also worked on the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium’s sprinkler system.
Prema Nair, Nair’s mother, is a teacher at Bangalore’s Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Shruthi Nair is Karun’s older sister.
