Demi Moore Biography
Childhood and family
Moore was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on November 11, 1962. Before Moore was born, her biological father, Air Force airman Charles Harmon, Sr., divorced her mother, Virginia, following a two-month marriage.
Moore’s mother married Dan Guynes, a newspaper advertising salesperson who constantly changed jobs when Moore was three months old. The couple had Moore’s half-brother Morgan.
As a result, the family had to relocate several times. In 1991, Moore stated, “Dan Guynes was my father’s name. He was the one who brought me up.
I don’t have a close relationship with a man who could be termed, my biological father.” Moore has half-siblings from Charlie Harmon’s previous marriages, but she does not communicate with them.
Moore returned to Roswell at the age of 14 and stayed with her grandmother for six months before moving to Washington state, where her mother and siblings lived near Seattle.
Moore’s mother obtained a job working for a magazine distribution company in West Hollywood, California, and the family moved again a few months later.
“I moved out of my family’s house when I was 16 and quit high school in my junior year,” Moore said of his time at Fairfax High School.
She claimed in 2019 that she was raped by a man when she was 15 years old. The man claimed he bribed Moore’s mother to gain access to Moore so he could rape her, but Moore stated he doesn’t know if this is true.
