When he saved money for seven years to send his family on their first holiday to Ooty, they ended themselves at a dismal run-down hotel named Shawham Palace, which was his epiphany. Irani made the decision to take charge of his life, and instead of living a petty existence as a photographer selling modest photographs, he would begin to dream big and give more for his family.
