Early and personal life
Bajpayee was born on April 23, 1969, in Belwa, a tiny village near Bettiah in West Champaran, Bihar. He was named after actor Manoj Kumar and is the second kid among his five siblings. Poonam Dubey, one of his younger sisters, works as a fashion designer in the film industry.
His father worked as a farmer, while his mother was a stay-at-home mom. As the son of a farmer, Bajpayee used to work in the fields throughout his vacations. He had aspired to be an actor since he was a child.
