Scott Edward Adkins was born on June 17, 1976, in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England, to a family of butchers. When he was eleven years old, he went to a local Judo club with his father and older brother and became interested in martial arts. His passion for martial arts rose even more after he was robbed at the age of thirteen. In the same year, he began training in Taekwondo.
