Early life and background
On August 20, 1976, Randeep Hooda was born into a Jat family. Dr Ranbir Hooda and Asha Devi Hooda are Randeep Hooda’s parents. His mother is a social worker and his father is a medical surgeon.
His parents travelled often and spent most of his youth in the Middle East, thus he spent most of his boyhood with his grandmother in their hometown.

He has an older sister, Anjali Hooda Sangwan, who is a medical doctor with degrees from India and the United States, and a younger brother, Sandeep Hooda, who works as a Software Engineer in Singapore.
He attended the Motilal Nehru Institution of Sports (MNSS), a boarding school in Rai, Haryana, where he excelled in swimming and equestrian sports, winning national medals in both.
