Early and personal life
Johar is the son of Yash Johar, the founder of Dharma Productions, and Hiroo Johar, and was born in Bombay, India (now Mumbai). From his father’s side, he has Punjabi Hindu ancestry, while from his mother’s side, he has Sindhi Hindu lineage. Greenlawns High School was his alma mater. He went to H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai after Greenlawns.
