Pyotr was a member of the Russian gentry and possessed a family estate near Gzhatsk (now Gagarin). Countess Lydia Andreevna Kamenskaya, aristocrat and descendant of Count Mikhail Fedotovich Kamensky, a notable Russian general in the Napoleonic Wars, was Pyotr’s mother and Mirren’s great-grandmother.
