History of BTS
Name
BTS, the acronym for the septet, is short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” in Korean. The moniker represents the group’s intention to “block off preconceptions, critiques, and expectations that aim at adolescents like bullets,” according to member J-Hope. They are referred to as Bdan Shnendan in Japan.

BTS declared in July 2017 that as part of their new brand identity, their moniker would also stand for “Beyond the Scene.” As a result, their name was expanded to include references to those who mature “from the boy to an adult who opens the doors that are confronting to go forward.”
Stepping stone into BTS Net Worth (Career)
After Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si-hyuk intended to create a hip-hop group around RM (Kim Namjoon), a well-known underground rapper in Seoul, BTS was created in 2010. BTS was initially intended to be a hip-hop group, but after noticing declining record sales, he changed his mind and believed that a different direction would be more commercially successful.

He made the decision to create an idol group that would be different from the typical, highly structured idol groups by allowing its members to express themselves freely as individuals as opposed to as a group. With the initial intent to begin the next year, auditions were held in 2010. The band members shared a home and practiced for up to 15 hours a day before debuting in front of a select group of business professionals in 2013.

Mainstream breakthrough and commercial success
In the 2015 album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1, BTS explored musical genres other than hip hop. BTS chose the title “(Korean: RR: Hwayangyeonhwa), which can be loosely translated to mean “youth” metaphorically as “the most beautiful moment in life,” to reflect the beauty and anxiety of youth. Their youth trilogy, a triptych of CDs focusing on the hardships of young people, was introduced with this album.
The trio won SBS MTV’s The Show after their top-five hit single “I Need U” became a hit in South Korea. The second song, “Dope” (Korean: RR: Jjeoreo), peaked at number three on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Sales Chart and had over 100 million YouTube views for its music video.
The band launched the 2015 Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet international tour extension in June, stopping in cities across Asia, Oceania, North America, and Latin America. On June 17, 2015, the Japanese versions of “Let Me Know,” “War of Hormone,” and “For You” were all published. “For You” quickly shot to the top of Oricon’s daily chart.
